Helping Veterans Get Hired with Skills Matching
Finding a job after their military service affects nearly 200,000 veterans every year, and only one in four veterans have a job lined up after leaving the armed forces, according to the Pew Research Center.
Navy veteran Robyn J. Grable has launched Veterans ASCEND, an AI-powered talent sourcing platform for hiring vetrans.
The company’s Career AI Talent Equalizer (CATE) uses proprietary algorithms to translate a candidate’s experience into skills and then match those skills to the employer’s needs, bringing together candidates and job openings that belong together. This process removes the need for a traditional resume which is a major barrier for many entering the job market or shifting careers.

Recruiting Beyond the Resume
It’s time to move past these boring hiring techniques and present your full self as an organization. You need to not just personalize the words, you need to personalize the medium. And that goes both ways - how you communicate and how you ask your candidates to respond.
This roundtable features Vanessa Raath - The Talent Hunter. We’re going to talk about how to get creative with candidates in both your outreach and your expectations of their response to you - with a big focus on the use of video. A lot of us have gotten used to video communication over the last two years so we should definitely be using it more.
